The goal of the Social-Emotional & Behavioral Development, Ages Birth to Five curriculum is to promote provider screening for these issues with the consistent utilization of a standardized, validated screening tool.

In pursuit of this goal, the Department of Health and Human Services, the University of NE Public Policy Center, and the Nebraska Medical Association developed an interactive, web-based curriculum to educate/train providers on the topic of social – emotional and behavioral development in 0 – 5 year old children. This continuing nursing education activity was approved for 2.5 contact hours by the Nebraska Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. A passing score of 70% is required.

This CNE is supported by an unrestricted educational grant and/or exhibits. This does not imply ANCC Commission on Accreditation or NNA approval or endorsement of any product/medication.


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Nebraska Medical Association's Commission on Medical Education (NMACME). The Lincoln Medical Education Partnership is accredited by the Nebraska Medical Association Commission on Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Lincoln Medical Education Partnership designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM . Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
